Increasing product sales on Amazon without PPC

We had a client with a client that wanted us to run Amazon PPC to increase sales on a product. So we did some keyword research, the after looking as the conversion rates, quickly realized that the profit margins couldn’t absorb the PPC cost.

So we took a different approach. We focused on improving the conversion rates

The theory was that an increase in conversions rates will result in improved search results & more traffic, so I focused on improving conversions.

(discount the spike in Nov. Dec. which reflects the busy Holiday Season)

In the image of the sales and traffic report, the blue line represents sold items, the purple line represents "listing views". For the first 9 months in this chart the 2 lines are essentially equal (which reflects the historical conversion rate).

Starting from January, the lines start to diverge, with the "blue line" which is sales, performing better than the "purple line" (listing views). This reflects an improved conversion rate.

Then the magic happened, as the conversion rate improved, the number of "listing views" also improved, leading to even more sales.

This was my theory when I put this strategy in place, improved conversion rate leads to improved search performance, but it is still nice to see the theory and strategy play out.

So not only do sales increase because of the improved conversion rate itself, but it also leads to more views, which in turn also leads to even more sales. If you are looking to efficiently increase your Amazon Product Sales contact us for a free, no obligation, evaluation
